A written questionnaire concerning the diet and health of dogs provided by service dog programs was sent to 33 service dog training programs in the US and Canada. Each questionnaire was accompanied by a cover letter and a postage-paid pre-addressed envelope. The names and addresses for the programs were obtained from the website of the Delta Society (deltasociety.org). Of the 33 programs in the original survey group, 16 completed and returned the questionnaire, a response rate of 48%!

Currently, results are available only as simple tabulation of responses. More in-depth analysis is ongoing; please contact RAI to volunteer to help with this analysis.
